cam selection help
ok, im in the process of rebuilding a friends 454/330. so far the bottom end is staying stock rering/rebearing. rpm air gap inatake, merlin steel heads(269 runners 119 ccs) roller rockers. the boat is a chapparell 2550 about 5k if i had to guess, and using stock exhaust with thru hulls. was thinking about the torker plus but says 2500 to 6500 rpm range. i am trying to get a cam that can be ordered thru summit not a custom grind. this is a heavy boat that is used for enjoyment not an all out racer
thanx Rob

CRN-133802 222/234, .529/.525, 114 lob sep $150
CRN-134242 226/236, .534/.553, 112 lob sep $160
Both these are cam kits that include lifters, lube and lock plate. I have the second one in my 454mag and its got a lopey idle, but still idles at 750rpms in gear with 12* initial timing. Not sure about reversion with it and stock exhaust. I have Imcos.
