Bilge Paint
Hey guys what is the best paint to use in the bilge. I Tried re gel coating in bright white last season and it is too poris. The oil and dirt are hard to clean off. I have looked at Interlux bilgekoat and was wondering about Awlgrip. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Since this will be the second time stripping the engine compartment of any hardware in a year. I wish to do it right this time.

I used everstar epoxy it cost more and more work but it cleans up great, I was told awl grip was good and easy to work with, I found this out when I had already finished mine.

just watch out with Awlgrip. It goes on very thin so if you scratch it with dirt it will go through. Also it is VERY TOXIC!!!!! Do not even open it and mix it with out a GOOD mask.

Try "Easypoxy" from Pettit..awesome stuff and a LOT cheaper than awlgrip and does the job very well. Surface preparation is the key ..make sure it is clean ..no oil, no gas etc. You roller or brush on.

i sprayed on the easypoxy and it worked prettty well. Get a good air mask even if you are going to roll or brush it on.

We don't say that word around me, I'm an Arma Coatings dealer. I can spray circles around that crap.
