Default Mercruiser pn# needed for k-plane

I'm having a hard time finding the stainless snap ring the holds the shafts in place on the old style keikhafer planes. Everything I pull up has the threaded rod assembly.

I see what you mean, I don't think they list that anymore. You can get stainless snap rings at www.mcmastercarr.com, just measure the pin diameter.

F-31,
I would probably need 4-6 snap rings. The eprson that had the boat before me used plain steel rings, the rest is history or whats left of it.
Spy,
How did you find the pn's?

I have replaced these about 5 times. I got them from BAM and Doller Marine. Many Part numbers are in the orig service manual for 87 - 88 mercs.

I only found 3. You can also get them from McMaster Carr part number 91590A122 for the good ones. $7.47 for 10.

Yup, theres people who claim the merc ones are better but if you check the thickness and other specs, they are the same I believe.
