What year?? My 1984 had lag blots going into the back seat from inside the engine compartment! First thing you had to do was take out the seat part of the bench...unbolt the back seat from the firewall.....and depending on how tight it is you might have to first unbolt the side panels for the bench to slide out.....
Thats how mine was put together anyway..

He has a 95.
Mine is a 96 and is currently having new interior in. When they took it apart they found it did NOT have marine grade plywood in it. I was totally pissed!! They are rebuilding all of it with marine grade plywood. I'll see if I can call the people doing my work to see how they took it apart.

thanks 29 and Wally. 29 I'd appreciate it if you would find out for me. I would be pissed also and am because thats whats wrong with mine. The area around the cup holders are rotten. Not to try and worry you 29, but check your transom and make sure your exhaust is sealed right. I'm changing mine right now because of a poor seal job. In case you are wondering my transom wasn't marine plywood either. Every other piece of wood is that I look at but not the transom.
