Dave, My injection system is a Mercury Racing MPI set up. I spent a great deal of time researching it with no help from Merc racing they have"no prints or specs left". Turns out it is a batch fire system, using Porche injectors from a 85-87 928s 4.7l.
I took the manifolds complete with injectors, fuel rails and regulators to Marrin Fuel injection(www.injector.com), who flowed my stock injectors to figure out what we could use for new/upgraded set up.
Not bigger just more modern(better windings and spray pattern).
They did a great job on the manifolds, and he personally garrenteed the work, if it does'nt work he'll come on board to fix it. He sets up IMSA, SCCA injection systems , as well as doing, some OEM work that they(oem) will never tell you about! He is also a boater.
The manifolds are Two piece tunnel rams with a single 3.75'' butterfly as the top portion, pointing towards the bow. When I saw this set up I knew I HAD to get this boat, It is a very unique set up the only offerd in 87,88,89. I was told that in 87 it was a14,000.00 optional upgrade. The colors also match my bike and car!
I'll post pic on Mon. it's in my work puter.
Joe

twinn29,
No props lying around, just the 23 Mirage's that I'm using. I am either going to send them to Mercury to be finished or go to a smaller Rev 4. I need more rpm's.

Sutphil- Im running 23p props also but they are Merc stainless Quicksilver props # 4816320A4 23p.In a typical configuration I run (1/2 to 3/4 tank of gas, 4 people, hot day etc) I only see 4200rpm, I'd like to see about 4800. I was thinking about a set of 19p Mirage Pluses, I know they are larger diameter than my props. What rpm are you seeing?

twinn29,
I am running about the same rpm's as you are. I have heard that the Rev 4 has many positive points - quick acceleration, great hold, better transom lift (I hardly use any trim) and a much faster mid range cruise speed. I don't know your fuel tank size, (mine is about 400 litres) but that's a lot of gas for two little motors.
I'll keep you posted when I change/test props.
