any body have any idea what the dry weight of a 26 foot chris scorp stinger is with a pair of small blocks and alphas. just wondering if i can tow it with my explorer.

My guess is 6500 pounds.

My advice - no.
If you choose to do so anyhow, please install the biggest transmission cooler you can cram onto it and change your trans fluid change interval from 30k to 10k. A trans temp gauge would be a plus, too.

Be aware that people on this board tow TopGuns with Explorers. Maybe they can give you some pointers...

actually it should be minimal around town towing. i keep the boat at the marina for the most part. i keep up on the service on the trans very well. and i have a big ol' aftermarket ja'mambo RV cooler on it along with the factory cooler. i reciently put a brand new factory crate motor and trans in it to. got like 10K miles on it.
