SORRY SHOWING MY AGE ,,,LS6 AND 7 WERE MOTORS MADE IN THE 1970 ERA LS-6=450HP
LS-7= 465H.P. KILLER MOTORS IN CHEVELLES AND VETTES
JUST 454'S 4 BOLT,,DIMPLE RODS,, 11 TO 1 OR 12.5 TO ONE COMP.
SOLID FLAT TAPPET CAM ,,FORGED PISTONS RECT.PORT HEADS
NEAT IN THEIR TIME

Amen, wish I re-lived them years. I have the dimple rods in my boat. At one time prior to re-proping I turned 7000 rpm for apprx 4 minutes. Was'nt paying attention to the tach, just the speedo. Did'nt do any harm whatsoever.

Second dimple rods. I ran them in a road racer with an idiot driver. He said he never turned over 7,000 and the motor just lost power. The telltale tach showed 8,000+. It was an 8,000 tach. We fired him, fixed the valve train and ran a whole SCCA season on the same motor, and never took the pan off. I LIKE dimple rods. But you are on your own!!!
