Default Injector Screens

Is there a special tool or method for removing injector screens? I have (2) injectors out of the rail and the screens seem to pressed in. Any ideas?

I pulled mine out this afternoon after I heard about the problems with the aeromotive fuel pumps sending shavings from the pump up to the injectors. If you have the injectors with the green screens in them I used a thin blade knife to get under the edge.Only the top edge is a tight fit once it starts out it will slide out with no problem.Hope this helps.

Thanks for the input, I wasn't sure if it was that easy, I'm not too fond of prying on good parts...I try one and see how easy it comes out.

Did you get any debris out of yours?

I just purchased a new Aeromotive Pump, filter and large fuel/water separator set up, not taking any chances with my new engine!!

My injectors have D3181AA on the side of them. I've been informed that they are from a 502 Injection system. Is this true?

Mine are from a 97 502 MAG. There was a fair amount of trash in each one it looked like a fine build up over time. It didn't look like anything that would come out of the pump. I looked at the thread about the aeromotive pump again. I don't think it was a problem so much with the pump itself but more with what the fuel additives that people were using and doing damage to the pump.
