Merc 4 blade props
I am really satisfied with the Merc Revolution 4 four blade 23P prop on my boat now. In a 25 Shockwave single step 24 degree bottom boat, I'm turning about 5,100rpm behind a 496HO. Top speed according to the GPS is right around 70 in decent chop and temps in the high 60's. Given the fact its a 4,300 pound hull, I'm really happy with the performance of the boat.
But I'm looking for a spare prop. As anyone had good experiences with the Merc Bravo 1 four blade (22 or 24 pitch?) How about the new Merc 5 blade?
Right now I'm thinking a Merc labbed 23P Rev-4 would be my best bet but am looking for other options.
Any thoughts? Your experience is appreciated

I don't think Merc labs the Rev 4, so you may have to get another shop to do it. You might get best speed with a Mirage Plus 25, but I don't know what your holeshot will be like with the step. It is unlikely that you will do better with a Bravo 1 vs your Rev 4. But if you do decide to try a B1, go to a 24 pitch. They are pitched a little light, so a 24 should work well.
If you don't mind spending the money, I would try a Maximus (Merc's 5 blade) just for kicks. Oops, I forgot, I think it is only available in 30+ pitches right now.
