Too slow/

I don't know if it helps but I ran a 26' Sutphen with a pair of Merc Offshores. We set the motors on a Stainless Marine bracket with
I believe a 21" setback. We mounted the motors as close as possible , I recall 20" centers and the shafts were about 2" above bottom. Boat ran and handled excellent, especially in rough stuff.
