Bridge it and let it rip.

As AUDIO has mentioned before....be careful bridging the amps in a marine environment. Bridging an amp creates a severe load which also creates heat. Heat and electronics are not a good mix....especially while trying to use it in the heat of the summer. Definitely buy an amp big enough where you don't have to run it at less than 2 ohms minimum. I bought an MTX digital series sub amp and couldn't be happier. Hook it up with quality wires (the correct size) and use a capacitor if you can as that will create more constant power for your amp when the bass hits and will also help your amp operate at maximum efficiency!!!!

That is a competition car amp. I would suggest that amp in a car with at least a 140 amp alternator, multiple batteries, and isolators. For a boat, I can offer you a great deal on an efficient Rockford Fosgate that will work much better in a boat and last.

Yes thats right about the heat, I have about 2200 watts in my boat but I run my gen. to keep the batt's charged ( it will kill them in about 1 cd) and have the A/C on plus they have a fan on them. I cooked them once before the fan.

Wow you guys have got some serious equiptment going on there!! I got a good buy on this and 2 other orion amps (Ill post a picture) and just wanted to start there. I have 2 batteries and the stock alt. prob an 80 amp. That big amp has these huge holes to feed wires the size of battery cables into the housing to power it. I am aware that I'm definatly out of my league with this install. Andy when you sy effiecentwhat do you mean ? Is this thing a welder or what?Greg
