I couldn't find much information so I started a thread titled "Paging Dennis Moore". Keep an eye on it for his reply.
Dennis is the all knowing master when it comes to the SBC.

A lot of the SBC rocker studs do go into the water jacket. BAD-HABIT has the absolute proof. Teflon sealer works great!!

blown 1500 is absolutely correct. Some of the bolts do go into the water jacket, and the teflon does work great.!
