Water Temp Gauge Accuracy?
Well, I have a crazy question about my water temp gauge. When I have the Merc scan tool on the motor it says that I am running right at 180 degrees but when I look at the gauge it says I'm at 200. Assuming that the scan tool is correct, what is the problem with the gauge? Is it that the gauge needs calibration or do I need a new temp sending unit?
Thanks for the help,
Dave

Is the gauge on a sepperate sender? Also the location of them could be causeing a difference. Lets say the computer has the sender mounted on the block and the gauge sender is on the intake manifold....just thinking outloud....
