Birdog,
I am experimenting with the Socketless Aeroquip System. I am not sure if it's good for your application or not. I buy my Aeroquip stuff from Summit Racing.
Check out www.aeroquip.com

The best combo I have used is Earls fittings with Aeroquipe hose. Try Summit Racing. Tape the hose were you want to cut it and use a cut off tool. It works like a charm.

Hope This Helps
A #8 90 Is 1.920 From Nut To Outside Of Fitting
A #6 90 Is 1.750 From Nut To Outside Of Fitting
A # 8 Tee Is 2.500 From Outside To Outside Of Run On Tee. A # 6 Is 2.200 From Outside To Outside Of Run On Tee. If You Use A Size #6 As A Assembly You Will Need 6 Inches. Size #8 Is Even Larger.

Kirk,
I have used all three brands and I also prefer the Areoquip. I have not had the problems described above. You have seen how many fittings are in my boat -6 -8 -10 -12 and -16. I have a Areoquip catalog at the house if you need to refer to something

Be aware that Aeroquip has had a few quality control issues recently. We have recieved 2 bad batches of Aeroquip hose that wasn't flexible at all. Other than the 2 bad batches of #12 hose, everything has been good from them. Earls makes top notch stuff as well.

I realize that this is an old thread but if anyone else is ever looking for Aeroquip they can also try aeroquip.cc
