The'll fit but some people seem to experience a slightly higher operating temp. I have no idea why.
I will be installing one in my Alpha drive real soon.
Best price I've found is at BoatFix.com .
Price and part number is GRW2000, $23.94 (reg price 35.90) or GRW1000, $20.87 (reg price 31.30).
I don't know which one fits yours. Maybe someone here can answer that.

I know that.
Globe makes only two impellers for Merc applications. The catalog on BoatFix.com doesn't say which is which. But I do know the GRW1000 will fit my Alpha. Even Globe Rubber Works web site doesnt differentiate the application.
That's why I hope someone here can point us in the right direction.

This is a quote from Globe Rubber Works site.

RUN DRY FOR 15 MINUTES, DEMAND THE BLUE ONE!
TRIPLE service life at competitive prices, means less down time and less cost. That's what it's all about.
The only impeller in the world guaranteed to RUN DRY FOR 15 MINUTES!
GLOBE impellers are made of elastomer compounds, developed for optimum performance and self lubricating for run dry protection.
All GLOBE impellers are made from elastomers giving them the combined characteristics and multiple properties of rubber, nitrile, viton and neoprene. For diesel fuel transfer, request the Red Globe Impeller.
Additionally, GLOBE impellers have greater resistance to sand and dirt abrasion.
GLOBE manufactures most popular replacement impellers: JABSCO, JOHNSON PUMPS, CATERPILLAR, CRUSADER, CUMMINS DIESEL, DETROIT DIESEL, KOHLER, MERCRUISER, MERLIN, NORTHERN LIGHTS, OBERDORFER, UNIVERSAL, VOLVO, WESTERBEKE, YANMAR and others.
GLOBE impellers are specified by the U.S. Coast Guard and the navies of the world.

Iggy, if thing works like they say, it would be the hot ticket on our boats. These things are a pain in the a$$ to change. I just pulled my buddies apart on a 496HO. What a pain.

Since I have an Alpha drive my impeller is inside it. I have to tear the damn thing apart to get to it. I figure if I put the good one in maybe I won't have to do it so often. It's either that or mount a pump on the engine and run an external pickup.
