I have had Innovative Marine drive showers on my twin Bravos for 3 years. They are very nice, solid pieces. The pickups were mounted to the cav plates and water fed via flexible braided hoses. I have experienced bent pickup tubes several times and have had a big chunk of the cav plate break off right at the pickup. Seemingly the hole drilled in the cav plate and the pickup sticking down are somewhat of a risk. This year I'm planning on routing the water from non used TRS transom mount water pickups. I'm tapping into the pickups externally. They are blocked inside the boat. These were on my boat when I bought it and have never been used by me. I'm just weary of bending the pickups and breaking the cav plates. We're re-plumbing with a 90 degree fitting installed in the top of the shower instead of the rear entry. We'll screw a plug into the rear hole.
Anyone ever used these Merc transom mount pickups for showers before ? I believe these pickups should deliver huge amounts water to the showers.
Anyone have any experience here ?

I have a TRS Boat and I feed the Drive Shower off of the Seawater Pump.I am sure that you will have plenty of volume and pressure at planing speed.I was originally going to tap into the Merc.Thruhull pickup, be did not want to allow the pickup to suck air at low speed,so I tapped into the pressure side of the pump,it works great 18-20 lbs of water pressure at speed.
