Seeking Prop Experts - advise needed
I am currently running standard mirage 3 blade 25's (t330's 32 Sunsation) 4500RPM 66GPS speed - I'm looking to pick up 1 or 2 MPH - is this not enough RPM stock 330 ?? - should I prop down to a set of 23's - will this bring my MPH up?? 1.50 gears - tried 24p bravo 4 blade & went 2 mph slower any suggestions??

You're mirages calc out to 8% slip-that's like really, really good. So good that I wonder if one of your numbers are off a tick. Based off you're experience with the 4 blade I see that your combo likes the 3 blade. The 330 can be reved up to 5,000 rpm-but it absolutly CAN'T exceed 5,000 rpms. You could try a 23", but based off your slip number I don't see much room for improvement. One prop that would be worth a try is a Mach Sterndriver. Mach has been out of business for a while, but the prop would be worth trying.

I'm looking to get the best top end possible with this set up -3 blades are typically a tad faster on top speed correct?? will a mirage plus 25 make any diff?? or will it drop my rpm's lower??

The plus will drop your rpm's lower. The plus has more cup. A 23 mirage plus will spin the same or very close to your 25 non plus mirage. The 330 rpm range is 4400-4600 so you are close to where you should be now. You seem to not need a plus with your slip factor so maybe try a 23 non plus. That should give you 4900. A little high but you might get 1 more mph. Or you might end up slower. My .02 is that you are good where you are.

I have heard from numerous sources the Machs are trash. I have a set as spares that came with the boat, and was told to use them only in the event I really would have to. The word is the ears fly off, among other issues.....
Just passing on what I heard.

25's lab them
I am sure labbing the 25 will do the trick,as far as MACH props they are weld on blades and some were not set EQUALLY spaced ,also they have numerous casting flaws or holes on the hub barrels.Darin- Houston PROP
