Call MIke D. at Sterling.
He sells an attachment that mounts to your carb plate and hooks into your wiring harness. This bumps the accelerator pump for a second when you put it in gear and makes your engines much more managable around the docks. The shifter makes an electrical contact each time you put it in gear. A friend put them on his Troy Dennis motors and solved the problem.
