I have a 2002 eliminator 26' daytona cat.I presently have the depthfinder mounted underneath the drivers seat and about a foot toward the transom. It works about 25% of the time. I have bought a new one because the old one is epoxied to the hull.I need to know the best place to mount it so as it willl work most of the time.Any ideas or suggestions on where to put this on the hull would be greatly appreciated.

It won't work in a cat hull unless you set it really deep. Be satisfied with the 25%.

Can you move it further back to keep it in the water more often? Hook your transduce up and then seal it in a baggie of water and move around till you find the best spot. If your hull is cored it won't work. Doesn't the manufacturer have a suggestion?
