Talking PUSH !!!!!

Johno,
I thought Mercruiser silent choice only had 1 hose? Do you have another brand? At any rate, if the flaps are closed now with no air in the system, you want your air line to push in the direction of open. If you need to push the actuator to the left then you want the pressure air on the right. So, if you need the actuator to move towards the front of the boat, put the pressure line on the fitting closest to the transom. If you need the actuator to move toward the transom, install the hose on the fitting closest to the back seat.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.
My Air cylinders have 2 "port". Just wondered what you did the unused port?

Talking exhausted !!

The unused port is just for venting. If the cylinder is inside the boat some people run a hose up under the deck and wire tie it to make it look good. If its outside the boat, you should run a hose inside the boat to vent so no salt water gets into the cylinder. Usually beside the pressure hose.
