need the right prop
Just put a new engine in the boat needs a different prop. Boat is a 26' seebold eagle. I have a 525hp engine runs 5600rpms and 65 gps. Seems to be slipping but really comes on plane great wondering if a 25 would be the best choice I am running a 23 which was the original prop. Tried a 24 pitch four blade made the boat feel rough or out of balance but did come on plane fast. Any suggestions

prop question
sounds like a 25p. 3 bld thinned out and balanced would work well at 5,300 rpm,
Darin
The 24 PITCH four blade is creating "too" much stern lift thats why it handles this way.

I am having the same problem and the 3 blade 23 is still the best it goes to get thinned and balanced this week. I have not tried a 4 blade yet but I will this weekend.

Houston props is going to rework mine. He has suggested turning my 23 into 24 adding cup thinning the blades and polishing it. I have sent it already and am looking forward to the results. Darin knows props. Good luck with the 4 blade I did not like the feel
