I just finished installing square bore merlin manifolds to replace the spread bore manifolds that came stock. I'm using holley performance series 830 cfm marine square bore carbs. I eliminated the problem of fuel puddling in the bottom of the manifolds as it was before. It also idles at 800 rpm now while cold....whereas it previously would have to run at 1500 when cold for awhile before you could back off the throttles. I hav'nt gotten into all my fine tuning of jets etc yet.....but I have very obvious positive changes in my idling and starting characteristics already.....I definately should have gotten rid of the spread bore intakes much earlier...
