Help!---No water pressure!
Hey gang----this is KAAMA. I am over at Steve "Rampage's" house for the evening. I tried launching the boat today, but ran into a snag. The startboard engine is not getting any water or showing any signs of water pressure. I have mechanical water pressure gauges going to the dash. I am running cam driven water pumps with new impellers. I checked out the impellers and they appear to be fine and are installed correctly. I am stumped---but it's probably something simple. We checked the the water intake inlet valve and it is in the OPEN position. I checked the sea strainers for debris, but there is none. When I start the engine there is no water circulating within the sea strainer and yet it is full of water. The port engine is getting plenty of water and is visibly circulating within the sea strainer.
Anyway, Steve and I are going to take a look at it in the morning. He and his wife were kind enough to put me up for the night in their very cool and cozy home out here in the country.
By the way, we pulled a water hose fitting off the oil cooler and it is dry. The impeller is dry and NO water is being discharged out the tailpipes. Thanks for any responses.

Can you backflush the system? Start from the seastrainer going out then from the engine water inlet to the strainer, etc.

I hate to say this but this just happened to me last week on the maiden voyage of my repowed cat.I had great water on the starboard but nothing on the port.Took off the seawater pump and even though someone labeled the in and out ports they mislabeled them because the pump was upside down.Swithced hoses and well you know, works great.

It is a cam driven waterpump i am assuming a magnaflow, therefore you have only one inlet.
Is water comming through your cooler?
Where is your water pickup?
Is the cam pump new? Maybe the impeller is in backwards?
