Talking How much faster is he going after the mods?

I would guess it was a pretty fast boat with the stock engine because I can't see his engine putting out more horsepower than 400. I could be wrong, but the mph increase between stock and modified would tell us. How about it Baja 24? How much faster is it now?

It was ovel port and i got the performer rpm aluminum heads and intake, boarded it to a 468 and a roller cam with wet headers if i was to guess the hp it would be 450 -500 but thats not what i want to know .

Default Many did

The 454 with rectangle heads made 365 horsepower as compared to the oval port head engines that made 330.
Sounds like you are making more than 400 horsepower with a speed increase of 8 mph!
Sincerely

Was the prop you tried
the 27 four blade ?
I tried a four blade on mine
and lost top end.
( wouldn't carry the bow, more
wetted area )

These boats need bow lift,
so I would say try a 27p
3 blade.

FYI yust got it off the dyno mad 536 tork and 513 HP @ 5500 not bad for a 468. needs more cam falls off bad at 5600. I changed the carb body to that pro form piched up maybe 5 hp tried My RPM intake mad more tork on the way up but the old sigal plan that sets cruked mad just as much power with lower egts timing liked 36 added a 1 inch spacer lost 15 hp on the singal plane but get this put on my air cleaner it picked up 13hp
