Merc. rev Limiter, how to disable?
Looks like my thread got killed yesterday.
I was speaking to a a proCharger dealer in Ohio and he mentioned that there is a fairly easy way to eliminate the rev limiter on the Mercruiser ignitions, does anyone know how to wire around this? He stated that the Mercruiser ignition is very reliable and usable for a pleasure/go-fast boat and that instead of buying a aftermarket ignition system that I should disable to rev limiter.
Thanks

Have it reprogramed for RPM level you want or go after market. If you do any wave jumping you better never miss on the stick(s) or you will be in trouble. I wouldn't run mine without one but that is just me.
I agree the stock merc ignition is pretty good. Hard to pinch penny's and do performance boating. B.O.A.T. Break Out Another Thousand!!!!
