Default Blower Motor suggestions

I have the following:

468 CID
8.0 Compression
Weiand 256 Blowers with 2x 700CFM Hollies
MSD Ignition
MSD Rev Limiters
Stainless Marine exhaust with Corsa silent choice
Graffig Flame arrestors
Electric fuel pumps
Lunati Rockers

I'm pretty sure I through a rod through the side (dented oil part lots of water too).

I'd like to go to 502 based engines so I'd like to get some suggestions on cranks, connection rods, pistons, compression, and cam.

I believe the cam I had generated HP way too high of RPM 5800-6000 for 580hp. I'd like to get the RPM down.

Chillers are out of the question due to the wife likes the sundeck and I don't have the room.

I'd really prefer to keep the silent choice but am not ruling it out.

Buddah,

My boat generally does fast short runs 5-15 minutes with 4lbs boost. We have good fuel with 92-94 available. I can easily get 93, have to drive a little for 94. I'd like to get around reliable 700HP if possible with a 800 rpm no load idle.

Last year I ran the dog snot out of them in a poker run wide out big waves etc for 100 miles.

This year (a common year) I drive the boat wide open for about 5 minutes every other weekend. My 8 year old daughter probably logged as much time as I did, maybe more if you count the 15 minute idle out the channel and back.

I do not plan on running like I did last year ever again since I know this must have added to my engine demise. 5minutes at a time is probably about it.

Sorry to hear that Bajalion !! Let me know what you do.
I am running 468 Blower motors also....Might take the "good" one of your hands if you go 502....
Never know when I might need a spare !!

Sell all the stuff you have that is still good. Buy a couple of mild 502's and install Intercooled Whipplechargers. It will all fit under your hatch and be as reliable as stock and will run very nice. I am on my third season with a Whipple on a stock 454 Mag and I ran a GPS 75 mph this past saturday. I have run at over 60 mph for 1 hour with no problems.

WOAH dude! You're relentless---whew! Did you ever look back and see little white surrender flags waving out of your engine compartment vents???-----Heck, I usually cruise at about 3300-3500rpm and I thought 30 seconds at WOT (5500rpm) was A LOT with my 540's!

Back4More: I don't think any GEN V has Mechanical fuel pumps. My 454 did not. Besides I went to electric.

KAAMA: Nothing ventured nothing gained. I've got 1994 base Bravo's with 400 hours on them never rebuilt. I've had a set of HP bravos with IMCO upgrades just waiting in the boxes they were shipped in.

Budda: I'm pretty sue I'm going to go with a HP500 SB or 502. I'm not sure about what's in the HP500 block. Can the pistons be machined to lower compression to 8.0:1?

What is the difference in the heads and rotating assembly for the HP500 versus 502 crate?

Thanks.
