Formula Amp location
I just bought an '89 311 SR 1 that has an "amplifier" switch on the circuit breaker. The original bill of sale lists the installation of an amplifier. There is nothing running- i.e., only 2 cockpit speakers are functional -and I can't find the amp. Where would the amplifier be located if it is, in fact, there?

I have seen them were you have to take out the fridge to get to them. Not a huge deal. Also in the newer boats they put them under the sink.

My 1988 311 had the Blaupunkt amp mounted in the space above the fridge, right next to the shore power/battery charger. It had a nice 10 gauge wire feeding it off that circuit breaker you were talking about.
I pulled out the fridge, because I didnt use it and you wouldn't believe all the space that I gained. I currently use the space for a closet, and mounted 3 amps for my stereo. My guess is that if your amp isnt visible, its probably behind the fridge.
