it was at RPM Boat sales in New Jersey
they sell alot of performance stuff WWW.rpmboatsales.com
they have alot of stuff some good some rediculous
but hey
That 38 is gone, it had a pretty bare cabin, couches facing eachother, fridge, vberth and table that was it
could build out a cabin with amazing stuff
Had an arch on it, TRS and 420's
big surfboard k planes ect
trailer was hosed bad, no brakes on it
guy that owned it owned a construction company and he hauled it around with a CDL dumptruck (those big monster tractor trailer dump trucks)
so since the trailer had no brakes, no one ton ford would stop it on its best day
with a truck that can haul about 30-40 tons of gravel or whatever, a 10 000 lb boat with a trailer is im sure no big deal, other than the length, i doubt he even knew it was back there
Sorry to say it is gone (or I would have been all over it already)
it was NOT a scarab though
it was a true Larry Smith boat
so it was special and had some history to it
nice project boat, needed minimal work and was ALL white with a blue vinyl stripe right under the rub rail
total clean palate to go hog wild on
(even had chrome headers on both engines)
hell there is 6 grand right there
was an incredible deal
Right now RPM has a 38 fountain fever with twin mags and one needs a top end
could snag that for about 30-thousand but need a trailer
that is the tough part, but not impossible

My opinion for what it is worth. Biggus Dikkus on the board has a 280 like that. He got rid of the arch and it looks MUCH better. Now I realize that you have radar on there so if you use it and need it then that is not a option for you.
I have a old Formuls 302 and I am getting rid of all the graphics. There used to be a name all along the side with a wild wave theam that I took off. People like the simple as well as the wild. I have been at docks and can not believe how many people come up and start to talk to me about my boat. I think the thing is a beat up arch but people like it for some reason or another. This is the link if you want to take a look. http://photos.msn.com/Myfiles/FileView.aspx

Jason, Just my .02 here. I think the boat looks pretty good as it is. If you juice it up too much you might just get the opposite reaction from what you want. I think the arch is OK. Especially if you have radar. It gives it a purpose. Besides, you don't see them that much anymore so that alone sets your boat apart. Keep it clean and drive it proud.

i LOVE my arch, would not buy a boat without one -- then like I said earlier, dare to be different
well since these pics were taken I have removed the radar from the top (honestly , where do you think your going with 150 gal fuel tank and 2 thirsty 454's)
it is 30 feet, not some 100 foot broward or something
plus it just looked wrong
Going to sell all that stuff (raytheon radar, screen, mounts, cables ect)
no use for it
I mostly use this boat in Delaware river on clear sunny days, no foul weather, no major night cruising, hell Rather have KC daylighters up there on top of the arch than that thing any day
anyone know what a raytheon radar with all the bells and whistels is worth?
(or trade it for a mercuriser transom assembly???)

Sorry man lets try this one:
http://communities.msn.com/JonsHouse...hoto&PhotoID=4
I am going to remove all the stripes that are on it now and just go with two down each side, Wide at the top and thin on the bottom. That was teh stock paint job for the boat. I tell ya people realy like simple with all this crazyness going on
