Need more air??
All I can say is i tried to keep the wifey happy on this one. She wanted the boat to have a place to lay around on the rear of the boat.
So I bought the TBS 250 Low profile and put a 1050 dominator on her, well after many tries of raising the hatch etc, there is no way that the hatch can remain closed and get enough air to the engine. The K & N air filter required is a good 3" of height and the deck she hits and will have to be cut open.
Previously i had the deck cut and raised then upholstered over for the previous blown motor. This time I want to go with a white scoop.
I need about 5" clearance once the deck is closed, my question is what scoop would you guys recommend? are the auto ones just as good as the marine ones, I have a lot of people on the boat and do not want it crushed by someone leaning on it.
Is there a set of rules to follow to fit a scoop, I plan on having it decorated once it has been installed.
I need some ideas, and better yet a scoop. This is the engine and she needs to breathe.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know if there is a difference in quality, but there sure is a difference in price! Just don't let anybody try steppin on the scoop!
