Travis I would love a pair of those. A pair of your current engine would be awesome also. The fuel would be a drag. I have a 120 gallon tank. It would take alot of gas cans lol.
Have you been happy with your exhaust? I am thinking about changing. Also have been thinking about changing to a carb. What cfm are you running? Thanks Dwight..Hppy Tday.

Using pretty much the same setup, of AFR heads, victor jr intake adding a 800 holley. and a 12.6:1 comp ratio and a big solid roller.. She runs on 110

Whitey.. i am very happy with my EMI's no problems yet. Right now I am running a 750 holley, but changing over to a 800 holley

I see if I can remember, That was two motors ago LOL!

I had JimV ( jim valako) do them.

Had them machined for 7/16's screw in studs and guideplates.

Had the valve guides machined down to take the lift of my cam and accept a small teflon valve seal, so they would fit inside my springs.

that was about it.. i would not run any motor that had pressed in studs, in my mind all this is cheap insurance

My opinion, if your on a fixed budget, the vortec heads are the way to go. They flow great and are only about $260 each. Alot cheaper compared to the $1850 I payed for AFR heads, but AFR heads are gorgeous peices

thanks Travis, I am thinking about having some work done but, have to weigh out the cost. I have seen some pretty good deals lately on heads and wonder if it is better to buy with the heads already done. Atleast this gives me a idea of where I am at as a starting point. Dwight
