cafe,
I am currently running a Blower Shop 10-71 on my 540 with a Whipple Innercooler Intake. I have been very please with the intercooler. Not only for the fact that I only added an additional 3/4 of inch of height, verse 4-5, but also becasue it is one HD piece. you can also run it in salt water.
Do you have an 8-71. I ask b/c I may be selling my 10-71. Only 16-20hrs.

thanks for your input. im currently running 8-71's and i am going to intercool them. i think that the whipple intercooler makes for a cleaner look but dont want to make that decision if the performance results are not as good as others. thanks d

Cafe,
Performance is better than standard innercoolers. The Whipple has more cooling fins (3 times more than others) and is made of cupronickel. Because of this it dissipates heat better thus you can run 1 to 2 lbs more boost over other innercoolers . Whipple will also handle up to 30lbs of boost and 100lbs of water pressure. And last but not least it does look cleaner.
