Post Replacing shifters

I have the merc dual shifter with trs. Will any shifter work with the trs elec or is there a special shifter needed to replace these?

Any shifter will work I think. Call up Wags at Gaffrig and ask him what you need.

I believe that it has regular cables back to the tranny and those push a lever with contacts on the transmision. I know you can swap the tranies over from electric to mechanical with a couple of parts.

Jon mine has a elec switch in the shifter! I don't have a cable attached to the trans.

Then I think you are screwed!!! I bet if you put a post up some one had a manual shift set up kicking around. I personally think the manual one is MUCH better. It is instant not slow and delayed like the electric set up.
