Post transom assembly installation

Im assuming I can use some gm weatherstrip adhesive to hold the big o-ring seal on the gimbal housing while installing. Does this sound OK? Also, should I use any additional sealer/bedding compound? Oh, Bravo 1 transom assembly.

I used the glue/sealer used to install the drive shaft and shift bellows from Mercury Marine.

Yea, I shoulda too. The weatherstrip adhesive was a pain. Stripped the paint right off the groove area. All done now but next time I will use the bellows adhesive too. Thanks guys.
