Default Std vs. XR's

If you are running stock engines up to 525 EFI's you will experience a 1 to 2 mph drop by going to the XR's
I was told this when I went from XZ's to XR's and it did exactly that. I lost 2 mph on my boat with 500 EFI's.
There were no other changes, including weather.
I don't know if I can gain the speed back by going to nose cones or not.
