n/a engine kits for 502 efi ?
what companies make engine upgrade packages for the 502 efi for 500-550 hp range and can run on 89 octane fuel ?

We do a rebuild or top end upgrade that will produce 520HP from a 502 mpi. IT includes, cylider head porting, intake porting, ECU reprogramming, and Flame arrestor. How old is your engine?

I'm very curious about getting 105 HP gain on a stock 502EFI/MPI from porting, reprogramming and flame arrestor.
Maybe there's more than just the stated components used. Is it possible there are other hard parts ?
With no cam or valvetrain changes that sounds a bit precarious to me. Those type changes usually dictate higher RPM to gain horsepower. The stock valvetrain might not be too reliable at higher than stock RPM range.
That package should be a real big seller if the gains can be substantiated on a dyno AND the real world and there is at least modest reliability expected.
Let's see some dyno results and hear from someone with the package. I'm all for it if it works.
Prove it !

I also have a 1998 502, 415 horsepower engine and have been considering alternatives to boost the power.
Totalmp, what would the cost be to have this done? Are the engines dynoed?

fast353tech I installed rev marine exhaust and k+n filter and gained 300rpm right now i'm only turning 4900 rpm because i went up in prop pitch and am going to have the prop labbed . piked up maybe acouple of mph but hope to do prop and run around 5200 rpm( had ecu reprog. by az speed and marine and they upped the rev limit from 5150 to 5300)

Yes,
we do a camshaft change, as well as completely upgrading cylinder heads w/ Maley inconel valves, good hardware, etc. Yes all engine are dynoed, and we've done several of these. ECU is reprogrammed and the engine is dyno tuned.
The price to do this w/ a complete freshen is around 8500.00. This price includes new flame arrestor, fuel pressure regulator, and dyno tuning. The freshen includes new rings, bearings, all new cylinder head hardware, springs, valves, retainers, keepers, seale, etc. It also includes competition valve job. We also change the timing set, oil pump, all new Fel Pro gaskets, etc.
To just do the top end, port work, cam change, etc. would be around $5000.00
These are rough figures, we are happy to work with anyone to customize a package that exceeds your expectations.
Thanks,
Steve

We have been using the one at Precision Marine, but will be completely remodeling, and adding a dyno, as well as a full machine shop, over the next few months. Our shop is 15,000 sq ft now, but we are adding another 4000, because we store all of our customers boats inside. Let us know if you need anything for the cig. We'd like to see you out there this year.
