OK...So i have Lightning headers...I have been looking at the Teague and EMI...They seem to be pretty close. Will they fit in my 288 with the 502 and Lightning headers???

I like the price of the EMI's...$695.00

Totally incorrect Teague makes thier own in house.
I had to have mine custom made because of the angle of my transom. The first set they did the angle wrong and I had no trouble with them exchanging them at no additional cost to me.
I have been running the Teague 450's for 2.5 years now.
And LOVE them.
Electric actuators, no added pumps, no hoses just a couple wires and bam your done
the hole does need to expand out to 4.5 inches NOT 5
the internal is still at 4" to allow the same hoses to be used from the exhaust manifolds.
I used to have the Imco Sound advantage. Boat came with it. Was nice, but not anywhere close to legal sound levels. Even closed.
The teagues are MUCH quieter even OPEN.
Like it was said, they take the 'edge' off.
The attatched pic shows the tips. You are able to see why they had to make me a special set. And at a very reasonable cost.
The Drews are crap in my opinion. They do very little and even after time the plunger that holds the flap shut looses its pressure. Too much tinkering with to 'set'
Another bad thing about the SA is they close to slow.
I hated when I wanted to silence the exhaust quickly.
The teagues are instant

i've had both in my hand, except for the rubber flapper hose clamped to the outside of the tip , teague and eddies are identical.
except the price, and i have been told eddie makes them for teague.

I don't like the stupid flapper on the end of the Teagues,, the Eddie marine one's look a lot nicer and they are cheaper. It looks like I will probably be going w/ the E.M. ones..

My buddy has the gaffrig air actuated. They work well and realy quiet it down, but if he runs them too long they seem to choke the motor down at idle.
