Powdercoating in the Chicago Area
OK (this worked so well for finding a good fiberglass guy in the chicago area):
1.Who have you used in the Chicago area for powdercoating?
2. Were you satisfied with the results?
I have both of my TRS transom plate/gimble assemblies disassembled and want to have the components powdercoated. Whomever does it needs to mask them properly to keep coating out of certain areas.
Monty recommended LO-KO performance coatings in Oak Lawn.
The stuff they did for him looks great. I was going to use them unless somebody gives me a reason not to.
Anybody have any input?
Thanks,
DS

I have used a guy in ZION. J&J Powdercoating....did good work for the small parts i had done....fast turn around too if he happens to be running that color. I had my brushguard done in less then 24hrs once

There is a guy down here in DeMotte that does some great work, but that may be a bit out of the way for you.
I know a guy looking for someone to do some anadizing. Anyone know of someone out my way?

Dan,
I just dropped off 4 oil coolers today at LOKO to get ceramic coated and they have a 3 week turn around time right now. In the past it's been 3-5 business days, I guess they are really busy with Spring and the car show season coming up.
