Purolator Pure One: PL34631, PL36461
Hey, what's the difference between these two filters? I have been using the first one. They are certainly popular......usually sold out or only one on the shelf.

Can anyone make a recommendation for replacement merc filters that match the height of the stock shorties? The filter location is literally 1/4" away from the glass and although I have often thought of relocating it, boating has always taken priority over moving it. I like the K&N for the nut on top, but there are no dimensions on canister height. Thanks in advance, Jeff

Thanks Knots...do you have any idea how the canister wall thickness compares? The mercuiser ones I typically use all crush with the band wrench and I typically need the oil wrench pliers to get them off

Not sure how they compare. I use a band wrench to remove mine and have never had one crush on me. Then again, I only hand tighten my filters using a piece of 320 grit sandpaper in my hand to get a better grip.
