There is roughly a speed gain of 1.5 mph per 100 RPM increase across the board assuming an equal amount of prop slip. As Darin knows that prop and water relationship is akin to a ring and pinion with a variable of slip. If your speed does not increase equal to the RPM increase, then you have more slip. That is a round about answer to your question. As far as the ancient Chinese part I don't know, he is the expert on that.

Hey Darin,
I have (8) 4" x 8" stainless steal plates that I need polished - they are currently in the rough stage - is this something that you can do??

Default polishing

yes ,no problem as long as it's not 4'x8'

send me a picture or just ship away,we will be as reasonable as we can on cost, just depends if they require any welding ,and have a lot of foreign object debris marks.

also what is the thickness? any idea

Is there anything to be gained in midrange? I know that labbing typically increases top speed but sometimes you loose cruise speed.

I am running about 51mph at 3600, and 75-77 mph (depending on the load, temp etc) at 5050 rpms.

The motors are designed to run up to about 5200-5300. What kind of gains can I expect across the board. I am running 25P Mirage Plus in a, 86' Scarab Panther with TRS drives.

Merc recommended that I may want to try a set of 27 labbed mirage plus to keep the cruise speed up and gain a little bit on the top end. What do you think of this idea? I am affraid of bigger props on these TRS as I have blown lowers twice.
