Default Scarab specs. and general info.

Any body know where I could find a source for specs and performance/general info on a 1977 Scarab 300. I'm a knowledge sponge so any kind of stuff is good. The internet, so far, has been no help.

I had a '78 and it would run about 75 with hot 454's (450hp) it was a very heavy boat but I got tired of all the problems from a very worn boat.

Thanks for the welcome and what I'd like to know is mainly mechanical specs. This boat has smallblocks(cubic inch junkie's on this board are probably depressed now)so I'd like to know the original HP specs. and max RPM allowable. Original prop diameter and pitch. Various year specific part numbers and model designations and so on and on..... Basically, everything. LOL. At first I was kinda depressed about the mouse motors but I've decided to stay with 'em. Our lakes aren't really setup for 80 plus MPH speeds and I don't think the local parks and rec. would really let me get away with it anyway. So I'm gonna breathe on these motors and give them some oomph. I've built more than a few 500(+)hp forced induction smallblock Chevys in my day and currently have a twin turbo motor in a car that will push 800hp on pump gas and 1200(+) on C-16. I don't think I'll have too much trouble getting the smallblocks to push her at about 65-70mph. We'll see.
