Internal Flappers replacement??
While I am replacing the my exhaust, I had everything off except for the Tips and noticed that the stock internal exhaust flaps were missing. I have External Flappers as well and I'm debating whether I should replace the internal ones.
If I were to replace them, how do the new ones go on?? Does a new rubber flapper just connect to the Rod that is already in place?? The Rod is riveted in place, do I have to drill out the rivets and replace the rod and flapper??
I did a search on this topic and found info. on everything except "how to" replace the flappers.....

Brad it is real easy. Punch out the pin. The new flaps should come with new brass ends.

Are the tips off the boat? If so I can show you how to take them out. Stop by sometime and we can redo them.
Give me a call later.
