Billet pulleys - alignment
Just received a new pulley set, and trying to get things lined up. Replacing pulleys on a pair of HP500 carb motors, standard component locations and stock brackets.
Is it normal that I will need to shim here, mill there, to get these things to fit? The crank pulley and the circ pump pulley are slightly off, and the raw water pump pulley is off ALOT, like 3/8"
What gives?
Thanks,
Brian

Yes it's normal. Most people don't even notice. You can move the hub on the circ pump if you have a big bearing spreader and a good puller. The stock pulleys were probably off too. Once you get them all aligned you will have a much better set up.
