Default Drive Leaking from sitting??

I purchased a drive last fall. This was a rebuilt XZ drive. It has been sitting upright all winter and I just went to dust it off in preparation to install it this weekend.

There is a leak on both sides in the center at the joint between the upper and lower sections. What would cause this from sitting over the winter upright?

Whats the fix? Is it an oring or gasket between these sections?

Thanks for you input!!
