Has anyone or known anyone install these drives vs. the Stock XR's. Basically the drive is built to teagues specs with all the good stuff included in the drive.
It comes to $1,400 dollars worth of parts w/o labor if you were to build the drive yourself from a stock XR.
I can get a new XR shipped to my door with all the necessary conversion parts for $6,741.00 or I can buy a teague built drive for $8,500 (less conversion parts).
You can see my dilema I am going to have to buy a drive but I only boat on relatively smooth lakes (Lake Havasu) and the adjoining river.
My motor only pushes 750 HP, I know the XR is only rated for 600HP. Should I be concerned about wasting my $ on a stock XR if i dirve sensible.
Does anyone know what safe rpm you can shift into and out of drive XR. My engine idles between 900 and 1150.
I know I am going to have to pay, but what are you guys paying for...
Thanks.
