Default Hydraulic Steering on Formula 311

I just recently found a early hyd. steering setup that I want to put on my 311. It came off a 86 Cafe Racer. It was, and will be mounted in between the drives (TRS's). Any info or knowledge that will assist my install will be appreciated. Im going to keep it cable assisted for this year, but can use any info on mounting the rams, so I dont run into any binding or loss of turning radius.
I believe its a Mercury system, Its has aluminum rams/end caps, w/stainless rod, and rod ends. The transom mounts are aluminum also(part#85336-1), any info on who manufactured them would help also.
