Default throttle adjustment help needed

Just picked up boat from dealer.
On test drive star. throttle control kept closing
like it had to much spring presure. port stayed where it was sent I wouldn't mind in higher rpm range cause
I am operating them, but this is at 3000-3500.
Also at top end port is running 5300 star 5000
lab finished 28's So here I have to pull back on
star side to keep off limiter and hold presure to port .
I just need a third hand for tabs and trim.
The throttles are Kiekhaeffer.
The outdrives were off .I have yet to do inspection and measuring. Just would like any tips if you have them.

Is there a tension adjustment at the throttle lever that can be tightened up? Not sure if the Kiek's are like the Gaffrig's. I think you access this adjustment through the long rubber boot on top that the levers slide in with an allen wrench. Maybe just loose enough that the weight of the lever itself and bouncing of the boat is enough to cause the lever to creep down.

As far as the diff in RPM,,,
Put them both full forward and look in the carb to make sure they are both fully open and the same. Also could be set in different holes at the throttle but that would be a huge builder error, but worth a look.Small adj of course made with the cables themselves. There will be a basic tension adj somewhere on every throttle
