I have a flat screen TV installed which works great but............... the only way to get any volume is to play it thru the stereo system. That means that if my kids are in the cabin watching TV we have no steroe out on the deck. I'm looking for a way to run the TV without having to put in another stereo system/amp to run it - any ideas?? The TV is a 15" flat screen by Flexvision (audiovox) and they tell me that the tuner only puts out less than 1 watt so you need to boost the signal. I was thinking maybe a set of amplified speakers or something but don't know if that will do the trick or not?
Anyone run into this problem before???

Cheap amplified PC computer speakers. Can get a pair for $8 up to $800. Computer speakers will generally accept millivolt input up to speaker level inputs.

I thought about these but they have a mini connector and I need to go to an RCA connector. I've looked all over and can't find an adaptor that goes from the mini to RCA.

Radio shack.
All you gotta do is figure out whether you need to preserve the stereo separation. If so, you gotta buy a Y cord and split the stereo 1/8 minis to (2) mono 1/8 minis and then use 2 1/8 mini to RCA adaptors. If you don't care about preserving stereo, then a single mono 1/8 mini to RCA will work fine.
