Default stuck bravo

Friend has a bravo drive that won't come off!! the first one did,this one is stuck in the absorber?? Drive moves back 3/4 of a inch,thats all we can get. anybody know any tricks? we are soakin it know and have pressure on it,hoping it will pop off!! tripps

may be the coupler is worn(elongated splines) I had a similar problem and solved it here. Had to pry it off without damaging the areas where it has O-rings. Splines on Out Drive were good but a 1" pipe would not go into coupler and it should take a 1.010" rod.

Is the shift cable lever releasing?
