Default Prop info. for my new Top Gun...

My newly purchased 'Gun has the following equipment and I'm looking for some prop combos to consider.

Pros/Cons-Thanks!

675hp Chiefs
12" Imco boxes
New XR's w/1.35 gears
Bravo 4 blade 24's (kinda small?) spinning inside

Saw 75ish in ROUGH water at about 5,200 rpm's

I'd like to see a choice for better high end, as well as recommendations for a set-up for better mid-range punch.

Thanks again,
Greg

Cash Bar,

I would strongly recommend the New Hydromotive P-5X for your boat. These props will help you to pick up 5-8 MPH on your cruise over the Bravo I's. And should maintian your top end. The acceleration will impress you!

Greg, keep what you have and lab finish the props,This will increase the midrange punch tremendously also we can add some pitch for forward travel to get the extra few mph left out of your boat.

This will save you alot of money and the props will work great .let me know if we can help out.

Tell us a little about your motors;

What rpm are they supposed to run? Tommy at Chief would know.

Since you live on the Atlantic side rough water ability will be a consideration. We don't have to worry about that too much on the Gulf.

What year is the boat?

Why did you go with the 1.35's?

The 1.35's were the choice of the previous owner. I would have gone 1.5.

Boat is a '96 straight hull. Full cabin, heavy.

Have not had a chance to speak to Tommy since I first asked about the boat in general.

Greg,

I noticed you will be in Marathon this weekend. We will be there in the dry pits with the Donzi boats. Stop by and say hi. We may even be able to do a little tweaking on your props while we are down there.

I'll have some 5 blades with me you could take out and try. The lowest pitch I'll have will be a 27, I don't know if you can turn that or not.
