procharged hp 500 (CARB) OIL BLOW BY
im getting a heavy oil mist inside the carb box actually had a pretty big puddle of oil in it.and all this is passing through the i/c and down the motor through the carb its.coming from the lines coming out of the valve covers that go to the procharger bellmouth.there is even a little oil mist i keep wiping off on the header right near the bellmouth.its all hooked up like the procharger directions.im thinking of taking of those lines and just putting some k/n type breather in the valve covers instead the holes in the valve covers are only 3/4 though.does anyone make 3/4 push in breathers.watcha guys think??.sean

I have the same thing with my procharged 502s. Inside my carb boxes are black and sometimes there is a small puddle. I too would like to know if a diff. breather would work.

I never used the breather vac lines. I never had any problems. I just let the valve covers vent to atmosphere. They say a crank case with a vaccum on it creates more hp.

blow-by is common in blower motors, feeding it back into the intake will often foul plugs and add to black exhaust and transom soot, some believe it adds a small amount of lubrication when vented to the intake, I allow it to vent through a kn breather mounted in each valvecover,
